Welcome to the Watch.Learn.Play. House
in Oregon City

Join us for our "Retreat Among the Trees" or host your own retreat here at the Watch.Learn.Play. House.

There's nothing like gathering with your people.

Nestled in the trees, you find the Watch.Learn.Play. House, a space that offers the opportunity of recharging your creative spirit and forging meaningful connections with others.

During your time here, we immerse ourselves in creativity as we print with nature on paper and fabric, create nature inspired collage, study marks and mark makers from the surrounding forest and leave with bundles of tangible evidences of a time well spent.

Between artistic pursuits, we'll have plenty of down time to enjoy the fire pit or indoor pool, nature walks, trips to the antique market, lunch at the Oregon City food trucks and more.

FAQs

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have about the retreat.

What do the lodging arrangements look like at Watch.Learn.Play. House?

Our retreat center sleeps up to 8 guests in shared bedrooms with the convenience of several bathrooms. You are welcome to relax in the living room or curl up in the cozy seating area by the fireplace. Feel free to help yourself to our coffee and snack bar at any time. We want you to feel at home!

What are my options getting to and from the airport (PDX)?

If you are flying in to PDX, you will be able to easily rent a car or plan on a $60 (on average) Uber ride. I will be available to help shuttle us around through the weekend, so as long as you don't need a car for any other reason, the Uber option will probably be the most economical.

If I choose to stay off site, what hotels or Airbnb's are nearby?

There are several hotels to choose from in or near Oregon City. You can refer to this link for a list of options.

If you prefer to stay at an Airbnb, there are several cozy choices nearby. Check out these listings.

Is there anything special I should pack?

We are all about cozy and comfy here. I encourage you to bring comfy lounge wear as we will only go out in "outside clothes" once during the weekend for lunch at the food trucks in Oregon City. So leave some space in your luggage for bringing home the art we make together and don't bother with lots of outfits to change into.

That said, we do love tromping through nature around here (even in loungewear). If you happen to have an extra pair of shoes that can get wet (we are in the PNW and it IS wet here), then bring them along. No worries if you don't, we will make do!

What can I expect for meals and food?

Meals are vegetarian friendly with fish and chicken options. We try our best to accommodate your dietary needs while providing you with home cooked meals and plentiful snacks and “like you’re at home” access to the kitchen. We are serious about our coffee and offer many options in that area as well as sparkling water and tea options. We also have an ever present self service snack bar with healthy and comforting snacks hitting all the notes!
